  • Value in Visiting Headquarters?

We'll be near the GD HQ in May and I was wondering if there is value in visiting the headquarters?

Taking a tour of the production line is interesting. I don't know the exact protocol, but if you give Customer Service a call they'll be able to steer you in the right direction.

If you have time, check out Behringer RV and Supply up in White Pigeon, MI, too. They are not far from GD and they have a bewildering amount of RV parts. (I thought it was fun walking through the buildings.)

Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, we have nothing to gain should you choose to purchase a product or engage a service we discuss on this forum.

I second the Factory Tour. Great to see process and maybe see your actual model being built.

Since you're on this forum, I'm going to assume you may do some of your own maintenance and repairs. If that's the case, a tour can be really helpful. When you watch a rig being assembled, it will give you a good scope of what's need if you need to tear into something. I've been to the factory several times as an owner and a moderator of the forum. I really enjoy each visit.

I don't yet but I'm seeing the need to develop the skills over time. I appreciate your insight on this.

Its always enlightening to see how the sausage is made. Aside from the fact that the area has many good restaurants

While you're there ask them if they're close to developing and marketing a driveable RV.
