Carefree awning motor noise

Our Solitude has the Carefree Longitude awnings. The motor on one of the awnings makes a screeching/grinding noise when the awning is retracted. It is quiet when extending the awning. The arm tracks are clean and I use dry silicone on them as recommended by Carefree.

We've had a lot of rain so I'm wondering if the motor assembly has water in it. Can the motor/gears be lubed? Curious if anyone else has had this issue.
