I am attempting to preserve and protect the front cap of my 2016 303RLS. I''ve used Wash-n-Wax. It works well, but doesn't do much for the oxidation on the non-decal areas. I've seen a GD recommendation for Turtle-Wax based products. I've also seen some supporting Mequiars Ultimate Wash&Wax. I've recently started using Mequiars Marine/RV Fiberglass Restoration System which includes an Oxidation Remover, High Gloss Polish & Pure Wax. I tried to keep all the products off the vinyl decals, but that's impossible and the decals remain dirty and unprotected. What's the best to use that also removes the oxidation? Or should I just use the Oxidation Remover and then use the Wash-n-Wax, Turtle-wax, or Mequiars Ultimate Wash&Wax? Or, is there a better product out there? Thanks!

The fiberglass restoration products work well on oxidized gelcoat but they are not designed for painted surfaces. On my Imagine, the front cap is painted in automotive paint so heavy abrasives should not be used like a fiberglass restorer/cleaner. Once the cap is washed, you can use a polisher with an auto glaze found in auto paint suppliers to remove any road grime and micro scratching while staying clear of the decals. Then follow up with a good quality auto wax. This will provide that ultra smooth surface that it looks like your after.
I use the Meguiar's Ultimate wash and wax and find that if I clean the cap before and after each trip the cap looks like new.

303 Aerospace Protectant. Clean the rig and apply 303 to the decals first. This will then prevent accidentally applied wax products from adhering to the decals. 303 is also one of the best protectants against UV rays and the damage they cause.
