  • Stove/Oven vent

    i have the 2021 Transcend Xplor 265BH. Made 6/15/2020
the dealer said i don't have to open the outside vent. But when i do open the vent you can feel the heat and the vent motor sounds like it's working easier.

What everones take on this. Keep it shut or open?

Keep it open and maybe find another dealer.

X2 on always opening the vent when cooking and close it when traveling. My damper came up missing after a trip a few years back and GDRV sent a new vent which was a redesign. Then before I installed this unit, another vent showed up with yet another re-design where the pins on the flap were even more robust. What I found when replacing the vent assembly was the luan at the opening was unprotected from moisture. Installed the tape/flashing for installing windows and doors over the exposed wood, then installed the vent and sealed.
