  • 17MKE rear bumper weight rating

Does anybody know what the weight rating is for a rear bumper of a 17MKE? I saw a hitch mounted rack on a friends trailer the other day and thought that might work for me also.
He attached a hitch receiver to his rear bumper then slid the rack into it.

    Zero.

Can there be any modifications to be able to mount in the back of a 17MKE?

No personal experience with the product, but the only option I know of is Mount-n-Lock https://mount-n-lock.com/

Others have taken their Imagine to a welding shop and had a receiver welded to the frame. See Paul & Deb 's thread here: https://gdrvowners.com/towing-and-hi...-our-new-22mle

Third option: call Lippert (the frame's OEM) and ask for their advice. Inside of the "A" frame, just aft of the coupler, there should be a white sticker with an RPO number. Find that RPO number and it will identify the exact frame so Lippert can advise accordingly. https://support.lci1.com/contact

        A similar discussion here: https://gdrvowners.com/forum/exterio...hitch-receiver

Please report back what you end up doing with your Imagine.

Thank you for the information, especially the tip to contact Lippert. We would like to add a small lift to the back of our '18 2600RB to carry a generator.

PackofDoags you will need to shift some of you cargo to account for the weight of a generator at the very rear of the trailer. It may make the tongue weight too light.
