Bathroom hood vent.

The hood vent in my 2015 Grand Design Solitude, 379fl, opened and now it won’t close. It starts to close but stops halfway closed.

Check were the slide arm rides in the channel for binding. You may also need to open up the gear box and see if there is an issue with something that broke and is lodged between the gears. I think there are 2 screws on the top that all you to access the gears. Pull the spring C-clip and it will let you disconnect the actuator arm and move the plastic (or metal) converter out of your way to get to the gear box.
