  • Any Goosebox users here?

My Goosebox 2.0 arrived today. I have it loaded up and ready to install on our new 381 when we pick it up on Saturday. Anyone else here using one? I've watched a few YouTube videos of them, and I think it will work pretty well.

Jealous of the full-length box on your truck. Much as I'd like to do what you're doing, I know one day I'd forget and bust up the cab on a sharp turn with my short-box Ford. But man, it would be great to have the bed of my truck usable again instead of being occupied full-time by the 300+ pound Pullrite slider hitch!

Looking forward to more posts of your progress with this.

I installed the goose box today. We have a 9 hr drive home tomorrow to evaluate it. It is constructed very well.

I towed 570 miles today. The Goosebox is great. It has no chucking, and the ride is much better than our old 5th Airborne and Pullrite hitch combo. No problem turning 90 degrees and 9" of bed clearance.

Congratulations, and thanks for the review.

I have a Goosebox on my 303. I love it. I have a Ram dually with eight foot bed. I put a 60 gallon auxiliary tank in the bed for fuel and have room to spare. Pull the B and W ball out and I have my bed back with no back problems from moving the slider hitch I used in my other truck.

Motocamper do you know your pin weight? I would love to install the goosebox on my Solitude but am worried about being to close to the 4000 pound max rating on the goosebox. I am at 3860 lb pin weight now.

FYI - I've heard that there is a heavy-weight Goosebox in development. I saw where one guy received his 20K Goosebox, but with a 27K tag on the front.

Cool, thanks Appfan. Guess I'll keep checking their site in the future.

We Have it on our 310GK and love it! So much easier than a 380# slider. I have a standard bed and can get to 70 Degrees and I'm still 6 inches off the cab of the truck and have 7" of clearance from top of the bed rail. Your gonna love it.

It varies from 3700 to 3400.

Thanks moto, your getting up there too but you have a little more room than me on pin weight. Another member posted that they are coming out with a higher rated one, I'll keep watching for that.

Thanks. It worked well. I dropped the factory pin box at the dealer lot, and used the front landing gear to lower down to the new one.

Can you post a few pics of the setup fully installed? I know almost nothing about 5vr hitches. TIA!
