Check Pin Box Torque

Just a reminder, check the bolts for proper torque on your pin box. I replaced my standard box with a Moryde pin box this weekend and 8 of the 10 nuts I was able to break loose with my fingers.

How did the switch go? We are looking to upgrade ours in the next month.

It went really well. Will it eliminate chucking? No. But the harshness went away. My wife gave the best description. Before you'd brace yourself for the "impact and now you can be more relaxed.

Finger tight bolts on the most important part of the whole assembly??????? This is not good.

I don’t expect a miracle but figured it has to be better than a solid pin box. We are getting ready to do about a thousand miles and want to switch before we head out.
Will be interesting to see how ours are torqued…

OffToHavasu If you don't mind how much did the new pin box set you back?? Thinking of doing mine, but will need the special adapter plate for the auto slider.

Best price I could find(from a source I trusted) was rv upgrade store. Showed 15 available, after I ordered now says 3-5 weeks.

I could not find our box on their cross reference so I emailed Moryde. Pretty much an immediate response with a part number and the spec sheet so I could confirm the fit.

I bought it "used" from someone who replaced it right away with a gooseneck. Only miles on it were from IN to AZ.
