  • Stair Carpet

As a rule, we do not wear our shoes inside our camper - much like our home. A request my wife had at the end of last year was to carpet the stairs. I think mostly for comfort on bare feet walking into the camper.

For our Imagine 2400BH we purchased the following:

    (1) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...2?ie=UTF8&th=1
    (2) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did not take a before picture, but imagine you all know what stairs look like without carpet. Here is the final product.

I have to say, I was not sure about this upgrade, but as someone who likes to go bear foot or use slip on shoes I have already come to enjoy the soft and warm carpet feel on my feet as opposed to the cold metal. A relatively inexpensive upgrade that I think we will enjoy for sometime.

On the original TT, I took a couple of scrap pieces of indoor outdoor carpet left over from a basement project and put grommets in it using https://www.homedepot.com/p/General-...1264/100200416 I put them in 3 places letting the carpet wrap under the step. Then using springs https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt...6089/202045478 to hold it in place.

Now I need to do the steps on the 303. Those Al steps are cold on the feet in the morning and at noon like a frying pan.

Very nice! I like that the carpet is removable for cleaning and drying... interested to see how the attachment to the aluminium holds up. We've used the "spring-held" stair covers in the past and they made a significant difference in keeping dirt out of the trailer.

Would love to see some close up pictures and pics in general.

Me too. We have not renewed since installing; it did rain on it last night/today - but pretty much dried on its own today. I am curious to see how it holds up as well and will post - certainly if we have a bad experience to let everyone know.
