The forum has it's own search engine, and of course there's Google or the DuckDuckGo search engines in your browser.
The forum's search box is at the top right of the page (see pic below).
Let's work through an example and see if we can find a thread. The post you're looking for is the one where TucsonJim posted his Solar 101 presentation.
The first try is to simply type Solar in the search box and hit enter (see Figure 1).
The search engine returns 34 pages of threads (14 threads per page). Ugh...that's too many to look through. Let's try again.
Click on the small down arrow just to the left of the magnifying glass and click on Advanced Search (see Figure 2).
In the Advanced Search box (see below), enter Solar into Keywords box, Jim's forum name into the Members box, click Started Posts Only (since you know he started the thread with the presentation attachment) and then in Sources isolate the search to the Solar channel. Click Search Now
The search engine returns three threads, and the first one is exactly what you're looking to find!
To find Jim's thread using Google or DuckDuckGo, type in solar 101 TucsonJim site:gdrvowners.com in the browser and the very first search result is Jim's thread! Note that site:gdrvowners.com restricts the search engine to what it has in it's database from the Grand Design Owners' Forum.
There's many, many more possibilities related to searching but this gives you the basics and hopefully enough to find what you're looking for on the forum. If you want to dig further into search operators, there's a lot of operators to try out! https://ahrefs.com/blog/google-advan...rch-operators/
Any questions, fire away.
