  • hello, it's me with a 31G

2021 Momentum 31G picked up a few weeks ago. Getting things set up.
    1. Installed Big Bad Foot Pads on all leveling jacks.
    2. LogicBlue LevelMate Pro+ (levels RV using smartphone (but still manually jacking).
Photo of the Big Bad Foot Pad with the old (stock) jack pad on top of it for reference.

We are off grid in dispersed camping nearly all the time. This came with the 1000 watt inverter and solar panels on the roof, but not sure how all that works. I need to have that figured out by first trip. Well, not really as It's also got the generator.

Welcome to the family and the forum! Something tells me that this isn't your first foray into the RV world.

I wish I could help with figuring out your solar, but my useful knowledge of solar is slightly below my useful knowledge of Latin.

I'm guessing that I may be late with this one also, but the moderators have put together a welcome letter to help new members navigate the forum and get the most out of it. In case you need it, the link to it is https://gdrvowners.com/forum/main-fo...to-new-members

Hmmm....those are interesting. With those installed there's no need for additional "stuff" under stabilizers.

One of the best gadgets ever for an RV! Wiring the device into the camper is a mod many of us have done. See https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...v-power-source

(Note the jacks on the camper are for stabilization not leveling.)

Easiest way to figure out what is powered by the inverter is to disconnect from shore power and test the 120vAC components and outlets in the trailer--what works? A simple circuit tester will make checking the outlets simple.

At the risk of overwhelming with too much information in this first post (!), watch your battery level carefully. It would be very easy to drain it below the safe 50% point for (I assume) the lead-acid battery on your camper. A couple of threads to read:

Lead Acid, AGM or Lithium Battery? https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...ithium-battery

Don't forget to check out the Welcome Letter referenced by Jerry!

Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, we have nothing to gain should you choose to purchase a product or engage a service we discuss on this forum.

Thanks everybody for all the good info! I actually have a couple of those 110 testers. I spend a couple nights a week reading on here. so I should be ready by spring LOL.
