  • Letting the dust settle - New 2022 GD 380 FL R

Good evening everyone.. Jerry and Rebecca here (Dat Way).. Picked up our new 380FL R and moved all our stuff into it from the other RV. Took us ALL day and well into the night.. Whew.. what a chore.. None-the-less we got it done and stayed the night and hooked up and drove 325 miles to our new destination. So far the new 380 is REALLY nice. Yes, we have some small quirks and newness and need to let the dust settle. We'll be parusing through these forums learning from all of you and sharing our RVing adventures with you all.. Yes, "Dat way".. when someone asks, "Where ya going".. we tell them in the best Cajun voice we can muster, "We going Dat Way.." and just point... LOL..

    cya out there..
    Best Regards,

Welcome! Check out the Welcome Letter to New Members and it will give you all the tips & tricks to make your time here the most productive. https://gdrvowners.com/forum/main-fo...to-new-members

First tip: run the furnace before you really need it on your new RV. First time it runs there may be construction debris or that "new furnace" smell that stinks up an RV. Best to have the windows and door open for run #1.

Dreamrider Welcome to the family and the forum! Letting the dust settle in any new unit is a great idea regardless of the make.

Welcome - lots of great idea here, but we love spending other folks money

I got a laugh out of the "Dat Way" On our vacations Dad would do that sometimes - found some very interesting places, and not so interesting as Mom would say..
        Good memories

I guess if there is a storm brewing somewhere in the direction you were originally heading you can say "not dat way", but "the oter way".
