  • Foam Sealant Options

I need to seal and reseal openings around a 2022 GD 280RS. GD used spray foam around the landing gear penetrations into the front battery compartment that’s chipping. There are also areas around plumbing that need to be sealed where I’m using copper mesh.

my question is what have others used for sealing these spaces besides the spray foam at hardware stores or is that the best option?

I used Great Stuff black, P/N 99054816 on our rig.

I use black silicone caulking. Much easier to control the application and much more durable than any of the foam alternatives.

This is what the factory used a few years ago. Don’t know if it’s still current, but it’s good stuff. https://www.boringsmith.com/p/boring...m-p8hhth34ca0s

I've been using this stuff for a lot of things. https://www.dap.com/products-project...treme-stretch/ will fill a 3" crack (never had to fill one that big).

My other go to is https://www.amazon.com/Sashco-10004-.../dp/B0009XCLL4 as it is extremely flexible.
