  • Custom Built Tool Storage & Workbench in Forward Compartment of Reflection 303RLS

Cate&Rob has posted this modification in other threads, but to my knowledge it doesn't have a thread of it's own. To enable the search engine to "find" his modification and to provide a reference for the Modifications spreadsheet, I am (again) posting the PDF of his amazing Tool Storage & Workbench incorporated into his 303RLS.

      I second that sentiment!

Cate&Rob I am wondering one thing, not related to the impressive tool storage....Why the battery selector switch? I would have thought with a 1500W inverter you would want both batteries supplying juice?

My “battery logic” is different than most. We operate on one battery and keep one as a fully charged “spare”. This is something learned from many years in boats . . . but translates to RV quite well. If I run the battery flat with furnace/fridge/whatever, I know exactly how long I have with similar usage on the second battery. I switch from one to the other every week or so to even out usage and charge cycles.

You are correct that to use the inverter (a rare event) I have to select “both” batteries. Cables are sized for the inverter even though it is seldom used.

I have thought about adding solar charging, but for the way we use our RV, I just can’t justify the cost and complexity. We almost always camp at sites with shorepower and if not, our battery charging backup is a portable generator.

Definitely shows you take pride in doing things right with an attention to details - and guessing you don't find a bad connection very often when you do your own work!
Thank you for sharing..... though you have elevated the bar quite a bit....

How many people have hit their head on the hitch after checking out your tool storage?
