Small pull out and down shelf, or tilt out basket - pass through ceiling mount.

During my Alaska trip I discovered how great it wold be to have a small shelf mounted to the ceiling above the pass through door to hold small items like plug adapters or hose items like the small flow meter or water valve I routinely use. It needs to be fully lipped like a basket and able to be locked up when not used to keep things from falling out. Would keep my adapters and fittings handy and save me hauling out a tub to get them. It only needs to be about 3" in height. Ive been looking at pull out and down shelves used in cabinets, but they are all base mounted and cant be locked that I can see.

Anyone have any good ideas for this. My other option is to get a very small tote to use and use that, but space is limited.

Keith, why not just hinge mount a basket to the upper floor and use a gate barrel latch to hold it up?
