    Anyone know how Grand Design comes up with their model numbers? Also, what about the letters in the model number? I was thinking RLTS = rear living triple slide, but every Reflection travel trailer ends in TS, whether 1,2,or 3 slides

    If you are bored would you please shed a little light on this subject?
    I am also curious on the meaning of the numbers and letters.

    Thank you

      From my understanding, there is not much significant meaning when it comes to the model numbers. Here's the list that I have compiled for the letters meanings for our units though:

      MK = Mid Kitchen
      RB = Rear Bath
      RL = Rear Living
      BH = Bunk House
      BHS = Bunk House Slide
      MKS = Mid Kitchen Slide
      RLK = Rear Living Kitchen
      MKE = Mid Kitchen (No clue what the E is)
      MB = Mid Bath
      WB = Wet Bar (MY FAV )
      FB = Front Bedroom or it may be Front Bath
      MBS = Mid Bunk Slide
      RES = (maybe) Rear Electric Slide
      FL = Front Living

      Here's a funny video that I found a while back when trying to decode some of these floorplans: https://youtu.be/53Aw_llnVuo

      Adding GDRV-Emily to add any that I may have missed.

            I believe the "RD" in our Imagine 3100RD is for Rear Den.

              But what about the models that only have 1 or 2 slides? They also end with TS.
              297RSTS, 300RBTS are 2 slides
              285BHTS, 287RLTS are 1 slide

                315RLTSinPA OK
                I lied... ok... well didn't lie, I have always thought that is what TS means LOL... from years in the RV industry.

                the T in the Model means TRAILER. The S.... really does not mean anything. We are going to go with Staley.... for Micah Staley.... the Reflection GM

                  A few corrections.... just because I was digging in to this more....

                  MKE, BHE, etc... the E means Emily. Just kidding... there is really no meaning to the E. Just to make it different and stand out I suppose But since i have a 21 BHE.... I am going to go with EMILY haha

                  RES is actually RESIDENTIAL.... meaning it has the residential package

                  If anyone finds any more.... and they have questions, let us know. We love to pick our GMs brains about why they do what they do (insert a face palm emoji here LOL)

                      Then there is the number part . . . we used to think this was related to length, but then someone suggested that the number was closer to square footage . . . then some models went to two digit numbers . . .

                          Back in the '70s I used to fly - mostly in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There was a hot air balloon club near one of the airfields we used and the club would fly in a group. There was one bright yellow balloon with a full-height design of Mickey Mouse (on at least one side - perhaps two... it was a long time ago). This balloon appeared to be the club leader and was the only one at the time that was equipped with an aviation VHF radio. While the rest of us used aircraft make and tail number (i.e. Cessna 7119) for a call sign, this balloon's call sign was... you guessed it... "Balloon Mike Mike."

                            What's old is new again. Remember all the discussions in the original forum? This is the closest we've come to actual interpretations. I like the personal variations that fit the owners. For our RL, it's Really Large.

                              According to Rob Groover, at least back in 2017 the GK in 310GK was for "Grand Kitchen", and GK-R is the same with the residential (AC power only) refrigerator.
