Norcold 2118 absorption cooling unit replaced.

I just completed converting my Norcold 2118 to a 12v DC with the JC refrigeration unit. Amazing the difference it makes. It only took 1 hour in 70 ambient temps for the new unit to get down to temps, and that was with nothing inside of it. Now I just have to figure out how to run a new 12v line from the battery since the existing wiring just can't handle the current required.

Is anyone interested in a used absorption cooling unit and lives in the Phoenix area? I was careful in removing it so it should still function. I hate to just throw it away.

That's great news. Try running it for 8 hours on the maximum cooling and see what kind of temperatures you reach. On my Norcold DC fridge, I'll hit -19°F in the Freezer, and 27°F in the refrigerator.
