Maximum size TV allowed for 320mks bedroom

I have just purchased a 320mks FW and want to install a TV in the bedroom. What is the largest size that would be ok to mount in that area?

The backer is 15" x 15", take a magnet to find the perimeter. It will depend on the size of the TV you want and how you mount it. A 32" would be ideal.

Megan - this TV size/location question has come up for many years covering many different models. This recent post made me think about a question not asked as I recall and may be helpful to the original OP here and future folks with similar questions.

What does GDRV state for a maximum weight to be suspended (it would be for the TV and mounting bracket) for this size and type of TV backer ? Secondly, an aggressive threaded screw at maybe 1 1/4" long seems about right. What does GDRV recommend for a mounting screw type/size/etc. to achieve maximum effectiveness to help prevent bracket failure and possible TV and/or wall damage ?

Here's what our service team suggests: We would only recommend a 50 lb limit if you use a 1/2" - 3/4" felt wrapped piece of plywood secured into the EGS backer and then secure the bracket into the plywood and into the EGS. 50 lbs is a lot of bounce weight depending on where said TV is located in the unit.

Thank you, Megan, so much ! The felt wrapped plywood is a good idea and one I have not seen done or heard of before. Good information for the OP and others in the future. Most of us have simply attached the TV bracket to the wall using similar screws as I referenced. In fact ours was installed by the dealer.

A number of us in the early days would also remove the TV (we still do) when traveling to prevent any possible wall, TV, other type of damage. I think fewer and fewer folks do this now days. I do not recall any posts over the years from GDRV folks where TVs have fallen or come loose. I would suspect that it has happened but who wants to share that especially when it was a TV twice as large as it should have been.....oooops !

FWIW 1) for travel I place a 1 1/2 - 2” adjustable curtain rod with oem rubber covers at each end in between the horizontal arm of the TV mount and the floor and snug it up just a little. So far this has done well in preventing bounce of the TV during travel. 2) Seems to me that a 32” flat screen TV along with the mount would not come close to 50 lbs.

Yes, 15"x15" is standard for all of our units that are laminated. This is when the TV bracket is on the exterior wall. If it's on an interior wall, then it's a plywood backer.. The size for the plywood backer is 15x26.
