  • MaxxAir Fan Inop (Fixed!)

The MaxxAir fan I'd installed in the bathroom quit working. Wouldn't respond to the remote or to the controls on the unit itself. The only indication was a green light (depicted with a green dot in the picture below) which, according to the instructions, means the fan has entered "Auto Mode". I didn't press the AUTO function, so I have no idea how it entered that mode.

I tried pressing the ON/OFF key as instructed in the manual--no joy.

What fixed it was pulling the "Bath" fuse and then, after about a ten count, reinstalling the fuse. (Got a nice spark since I didn't turn power off!) Fan worked as normal. Very odd.

Simple enough troubleshooting, but posting in the hope it helps someone in the future.

    Howard
