  • Portable Power

Sorry - the title should be Portable Power - can't edit it.

When we were looking at our current fifth wheel at the dealership, the salesman had some kind of portable power unit that he connected to the wires in the battery compartment so he could put out the slides and operate lights. Since my camper is in storage, I'd like to get something similar for those times I want to go and work on it - so I'd need to at least run out the slides, not necessarily use it for lighting. I could carry the battery each time, but was wondering if those automotive jump starters with air compressors would do the trick.

Anyone ever used something like that?

Yes I have seen dealers use the portable jump packs. I am not sure of what size though.

When I'm on the lot with customers, I use a NOCO Genius GB70. It's a great source of power for lights and to jump start motor homes. The slide outs draw alot of power and will quickly drain this power pack though.
