  • TV and DVD out of sync

When watching a DVD in our 2670MK the audio is not in sync with the video. Has anyone else had this problem? I know the components are hardly "top of the line" but would expect a better result when watching movies.

Yep we get that with our DVD player and tv as well. If you hit pause on the remote for a few seconds it seems to re-sync. If we used it a lot we would probably replace the DVD player and the tv.

I'll have to try the pause trick. I was thinking about replacing the DVD and wiring with HDMI, plus adding a soundbar. The speakers in the trailer are pitiful.

Have you checked the TV sound settings. I had the same issue at home, made a sound setting change, and wah-lah!!

SBARLAG Thanks for the info, I'll have to check that out. We're closed for the winter but will definitely give it a look in the spring.

We've done both - a Sony Blu-ray player and a Visio sound bar. Very highly recommended.

However I thought I'd let you know that even after the upgrades we get the same synching problem occasionally. It may be the TV, which we have not replaced.

I don't want to sound like a supercilious Canadian but maybe that's what I am, sorry. We are forced to learn at least a smattering of French up here so I know that the expression you're using is supposed to mean "voilà". The 'v' is pronounced very softly so it *sounds* a lot like wah-lah but it doesn't look similar in writing.

"Voilà" means "here is"... the full expression is "le voilà" which means "there it is" but the "le" is dropped even by French speakers. We also get away with dropping the accent on the 'a'.

              So, voila! Class dismissed.
