Samsung RF18 fridge still leaking?

I’m in the process of replacing my Norcold 2118 with the Samsung RF18 French Door model. I have previously installed the drain tube mod on the same fridge in a condo about 5 years ago. I’m wondering,

Is the problem still occurring on new units, and if so then does the drain tube mod fix the problem, and has the issue resurfaced?

Other than this issue the fridge seems perfectly suited for my 310GK, especially with it’s low amperage draw
Geez, just realized I typed an if-then construct from the old Fortran days! Probably dating myself but that’s ok.

I used Fortran in college. You must have been in the aerospace world?

Nah, remember using it in High School. I am sort of in the aerospace world now but not in High School of course.
No idea why the Fortran came into my mind.
