This may be more than you want to do to add in a dishwasher, but this is what we did. For those of you with a 310GK 72" island, we decided to cut our island down to 52". We put a new Corian counter top with integrated sink on the end. Added the single drawer dishwasher from Fisher & Paykel, model DD24SAX9. It uses 5 amps and runs for 2 hrs. and 15 min.
Also added a new pan drawer below that. There are only two of us and we can go for 3 or 4 nights before having to turn on the dishwasher. It is SO quiet we can even have it running while we watch TV.
