Add SubWoofer to PMX-1

We are looking to add a subwoofer to our PMX-1 system. Our system has two zones already and the manual shows additional RCA jacks for a subwoofer connection. We would like to find a small unit to place in one of the available cupboards located just below our unit. The sub could be self-powered as there is an AC outlet in the cupboard.

Please let me know if you have any experience with this topic.
