  • Solar Charging Help Lithium Batteries

    Hi All: Reflections 150 226RK year 2022

So I replaced the Lead Acid battery in my Unit with a Lithium one. I have the unit unplugged Battery Disconnect for the coach is off the Solar Charger in the front compartment Little Error light is on in the solar charger. Put the Lead Acid Batter back in and the Light is now green as expected no errors I can see the up and down charge on the inside monitor.

I did charge the Lithium Battery I have tested the Lithium battery, and is performing as expected 13.66 on my battery with the meter.

Does anyone have any thoughts on my solar charger not working with Lithium batteries here?

I am not an expert by any means with electrical however a simple battery switch is easy can't figure out what's missing here Trailer is under Warrantee

    Thanks in advance

There are plenty of threads here on this issue. I believe you will need to set the controller to lithium when you change to lithium. There has also been issues reported that the controller will revert back to lead acid. Do a little searching and reading, I am sure you will find the answer.

What is the error light signifying? GD has wired their trailers in all sorts of different configurations, so maybe with the battery disconnect OFF (key can be removed) the battery is disconnected from the solar controller.

Easiest way (for us) if you'll post a picture of the error and then we can advise from there. The specific make and model of the solar controller will help, too.
