Very cool update to the VictronConnect app! A couple of "gotchas", though, for the new features to work:
1) The device must be connected to a "GX" device. https://www.victronenergy.com/live/venus-os:start
2) The device must be connected to the GX device using VE.Direct. This is a physical cable connection. See my cable diagram if you want to "see" what it looks like: https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...lts-f-350-mods
If your system meets these criteria, the update is most welcome. I had to update the firmware in my CCGX from v2.52 to v2.53 but after that everything went very smoothly. Now I can open and monitor my BMV-712 and SmartSolar MPPT from anywhere--I don't have to be within bluetooth range. Awesome!
