  • 50 to 30 amp reducer

We have purchased a 367BHS. The site we will be permanently parked at has 30 amp service. We will be using the reducer to plug into the 30 amp power. What issues will we run into with this? Will we still be able to use all appliances in the unit? We are aware that we must watch what we are using at the same time, but wanted to be sure that all would still work with the 30 amp power. Thanks for any information that you can provide.

You'll be able to use all of the appliances... just not multiple appliances at the same time. The highest current draw appliances are the air conditioners, the refrigerator (if RV frig on electric), the microwave, the water heater (on electric), the fireplace, and anything else with resistive heating (toasters, hair dryers, portable electric heaters, etc.). When we've been on 30 amps, we've found that we can get by with the water heater and frig on electric at the same time - and usually one AC as long as the park's 30 amp is up to snuff. Don't try all the above with a second air conditioner and we usually turn off the AC to run the microwave so I don't have to go out to the pedestal and reset the breaker. Remember, so-called 50-amp service is really two legs of 50 amps for a total of 100 amps. 30-amp service is just that - 30 amps total.

PS: It's helpful to those answering questions (and you won't have to repeat it every time) if you put together a signature with your rig and tow vehicle information.

30 amp service isn't enough to operate both A/C units simultaneously. Other than that, you can run whatever you want - within reason. I wouldn't try a microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, space heater and A/C all at once.

I agree with the advice you've been given in the previous posts regarding your electrical question. The only info I can add is that in your owner's manual there's a listing of the approximate amperage each device will consume. That will give you a good idea of what you can run (and what you can't simultaneously). In the '19 version of the Reflection manual the chart is on page 85.
