  • 2016 Reflection 27RL - Pulled Trailer Plug from Junction Box

Do to an unfortunate mishap (of course) my trailer plug got caught between the receiver hitch and ball as I pulled away and tore the plug cord out of the junction box located in the pin box (photos attached). Can anyone provide the wiring diagram to repair the connections? I reviewed the owners manual and looked through many forum pages and could not find this diagram. Thank you.

You may , if you have time , want to install one of these https://www.amazon.com/MICTUNING-Hea...4776474&sr=8-2 if not please use good butt connectors and do not use wire nuts, unless this is just to get you home.

I've got WHBU for charge +12V, looks like yours is probably the WH/RD on left side of your photo.
The YL and BK in the connector, I don't know.

This diagram is how mine is wired.

In this photograph, you can see where I rewired my 7-way connector at the trailer. This should be very helpful in putting things back together. The wires at the top lead out to the 7-way connector. The wires on the bottom run to the trailer.

        Blue to Blue
        Brown to Brown
        Green to Green
        Red to Red
        Yellow - Not used
Black to white with blue stripe
        White to white (multiple).

If you want to change your junction box and 7-way cord for the version I'm using below, here's the Amazon link:

Thank you. Your junction box photo plus the diagram from gbkims should get me back in business. I did notice that in your photo you have a white with blue stripe wire where in my trailer they have used white with a red strip? Nice work on your rewire. Your setup will provide long term reliability.

Great news that you're all hooked up again Chuck. It does look like they changed the white striped wire from blue to red.

                Take care,

I’ve put these in every trailer I’ve owned, way more reliable than the factory wire nuts, and makes troubleshooting much easier.

I did the same thing, following advice from TucsonJim, quite a while ago. Well worth the cost and the time.

TucsonJim should get a commission from that company--I put one in, too.

How good is the Amazon plug and cable? Just wondering if the junction box is sold separately?
                        Thanks

Keith - It is actually pretty good quality. The only weakness I saw was that the screw down cable clamps are plastic. But the still held up well for me. They do sell just the box if that's all you want. $9.98 on Amazon.

                            Hi Keith,

The cord that comes with the box is actually better quality (in my opinion) than the OE cord. A little bit longer and more flexible.

Also if you get the cord and the box that is one less set of ends you have to crimp. I also agree with Rob that the cord seems better in quality.
