The dimmer won't work with your 17MKE, Peter Dianne. Your trailer has the CompassConnect system. The wires from the wall go to a control board (just a "signal"). The control board is where the power is sent to the lights.

There are many threads on the topic here on the forum. I apologize--guests just arrived so have to run. Do a search or hopefully others can point you to the threads.

      Thanks Howard,

If anyone has another way to include a dimmer let me know.

My limited knowledge on getting a dimmer to work with the Compass Connect X180T module is what I've read some say they have done:
Place a "High Side PWM Dimmer" in between the 1st light in the daisy chain of lights and the X180T's Latching Output for the lights wanting to be dimmed.

Peter Dianne -- in addition to what Gene showed in post #3, consider reading the thread Dimming Lights with an LCI OneControl (GD's CompassConnect) at https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...sconnect/page2 It has an in-depth discussion of the issue.

In post #67 of that thread there is a bluetooth possibility posted as a solution.
