Adding blue additional LED lights under rig off step light.

Awhile back someone installed a few single blue LED lights down the sides of there 303rls. I have the lights was looking for pictures of where you placed yours

I did this a while back installing 6 of them. Will have to see if I have a picture of it. I use a rely sliced into the porch that lights up the step so I can control it remotely .

Dennis66 Dennis, I installed lights down both sides of the trailer. I think they are about 3' apart. I will have to get you pictures of the install if you want them.

Yep thats them, I bought the lights but not sure if I want them way under or on outer edge on the sheet metal that gets rolled under, where did you mount yours?

I had some 1 ft strip LED's laying around so I tapped the circuit for the single light on the steps and ran the on the bottom of the floor about 4 ft forward of the step. Between the adhesive on them and some hot glue they have stayed in place. Its just enough light to illuminate the area before the steps but since they are behind the skirt and cast down they are not obtrusive at all.

Hi Dennis,

I installed under trailer lights very similar to what Jlawles2 Joseph describes except that I used white lights on a dimmer. Powered from the step light circuit. I put 10 "penny" lights down each side in holes drilled (with a step drill bit) in the plastic/ aluminum skirting. Wiring gets a little complex to allow the lights on the slide skirts to move in and out with the slides. See post 5 of this thread for pictures. https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...-backup-lights

Dennis66 Dennis, I put the lights in the bottom roll of the skirting. Not quite so visible and not blinding when walking up at night since they point down.

We are traveling in the unit now with limited WIFI, so I'll get better pics when we get home.

Curious...wondering why blue instead of red since red doesn't kill your night vision? Or am I unaware that blue also doesn't kill the night vision.
