TV turning on periodically

As part of my goal to break as many things in my new camper as I possibly can, last week I broke the external 50 amp power port.

I replaced it with a Furrion unit and now I’m noticing that the TV is turning on periodically. Normally our TV turns on when our rig is initially plugged into shore power, but now it seems to be happening periodically.

replacing that power port is an easy job, so I’m thinking there must be something else up.

Any thoughts as what it could be?

Hi Paul,

The TV has a “demonstration” mode intended to turn it on whenever powered up in a store. If you wander through the setup pages, you should be able to find the “home” mode to stop that from happening.

Why this is happening more often with the new power cord connection is a bit of a concern. This sounds like a loose connection. If it is the neutral (white wire) this can cause a lot of electrical damage. Best to check the connections that you made with the new inlet.
