A/C Covers

I've seen a couple of posts regarding the need to cover A/C units when your trailer is stored outdoors for a period of time. I live in northern Nevada and we have snow and consistent cold temps in the winter. Does it make a difference whether they are covered or not?

scdock , we live in SD and use ac covers to keep leaves, dirt and snow out of the ac when stored outside. Helps to keep the ac unit clean. To answer your question if it makes a difference, I don't know.
