  • Toxic Smell Comes Out of the Furnace Ductwork

I'll start by saying that the unit is not new. It is over a year old and we used it quite a bit. Every time we turn on the furnace we smell a toxic smell that is continuously there no matter how long the unit will run.

We know that the new unit will produce some smell but this is not our case and we start to suspect that the ductwork is producing what is obviously toxicity air pollution because of the high heat following in the tube and especially near the furnace opening.

Any insights on this and how to resolve the problem and/or non-toxic 4" ductwork we can upgrade with?

You don't mention your unit, but I would find the furnace and disconnect the duct work and look inside the furnace distribution box for rodent nest, etc. If possible I would try and vacuum out the duct work too.

    Good luck

Hey elranas! Glad to see you're back.

You never posted the fix to the (very) long-running furnace cycling issue in thread https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...gd-23bhe/page2 Since this new thread is (again) a furnace-related issue, please post what fixed the other issue (in that thread) and (if you know how) post a link in this thread as a reference (or let me know and I'll do it).

I also added your trailer to your signature line for you. Edit as you will (see the Welcome Letter again for a reference to the "How To".)
