  • Filling fresh water tank.

2019 reflections 150 series fifth wheel. Coach has nautilus p1 water control system. When filling fresh water tank for dry camping, any better way to make sure to not overfill fresh water tank, other than continually checking the monitor board inside? Thanks, Tim

    Welcome to the forum!!

There is actually a much better way that many of us use. Purchase a flow meter for your hose (link attached). Then you can be very precise about how much water you put in. Be advised that GDRV recommends that you not fill the tank all the way due to the weight and sloshing of the tank. But if you're like me, sometimes we don't have a choice when camping in the desert.

I agree with the water meter, we use it every time.

My 303rls has an overflow tube behind the rear axle. I watch while the tank us filling, when water exits the overflow tube simply turn the water supply off.

$25 hose water meter - great for filling/flushing the black tank too. Have a blue one for freshwater and a green one for black tank.
