Grand Design uses "soft hose" extensions on some of the Pex water lines to expedite assembly plant connections. This is a 1/2" ID hose that is a loose fit on a Pex connector, but is crimped with a standard Pex clamp. Unfortunately there is quite a history of these soft hose-to-Pex fitting connections working loose. Use the search tool in the upper right corner on "soft hose" for many discussions on this topic.
Thank you, and yes I disassembled the fitting and see it is a loose fit inside the hose. At this point I am pretty darn irritated that they would consider this a sound installation.
