Pex crimp ring installs with standard pliers or channel locks and can be removed with a screwdriver and re-used.

Not sure it’s the choice when you have the time and patience for a full-blown repair or installation, but on the road a handful might be really handy when try to improvise a repair in tight quarters with suspect tubing. Doesn’t seem to be readily available in stores yet, but online several of the usual suspects carry them. Cheap enough to try.

Wonder if these will work on a standard pex fitting or if you need to use their fittings. Looks like a good idea though for on the road.

One of the two distributors is in Elkhart. Wouldn't surprise me to see these in an RV at some point.
