  • Squealing noise when water is used.

I attempted to use the search function and didn't find anything.
On our last trip we started to hear a squealing noise from the water control panel every time water was used. We were hooked up to a city water source and had the pressure regulator adjusted to 42psi.
Any ideas what could be the issue?

Could it be the regulator? They are known to make noise in some situations. High inlet pressure, flow restriction, debris…

You might also check the valve settings to ensure they are turned all the way along with ensuring the outside faucet if equipped has both valves turned completely off.

Typically the squealing as described by John is a release of high pressure to low pressure via flow.

It could be the city water inlet check valve, especially if flow is low.

Thanks for the replies! I'll run a water connection from the house to it tomorrow and see if I can narrow it down.
