  • Retro fix for fresh water siphoning.

I have a 2018 Reflection 150 model 295 5th wheel. I just finished retro fitting the new fix that grand design is putting on their new 5th wheels to fix the fresh water from siphoning out of fresh water tank while traveling.Does not take many supplies just a lot of patients. all you need is a short pex pipe, a T fitting and a pex clamp/removal tool which comes with pex clamps I got from amazon. i have attached pictures of what I did to retro fit my 5th wheel.
The 1st image is opening up the belly. The 2nd image what they did at the factory. The 3 image is the new fix. The 4 image putting back together. The 5 image finished.

Thanks for taking the time to post the details of this retrofit. (The kind of thing that this forum is all about). As you have noted . . . an easy fix, once you gain access. I am sure that others will be interested in doing this. I note that you left one tube longer than the other. This should help to break the siphon more quickly.

I wonder if making the second vent line larger in diameter as well as shorter would help more. Thought is the supply from the tank could not keep up with the increase in area.
