Water heater - gas or electric?

We are in an rv park where we pay for electricity. I’m wondering if it’s more efficient to use gas or electric to run the water heater. I usually use both at the same time to quickly heat up a tank but not sure which to use to run the heater over time. My home tank uses gas so I’m guessing that’s the most economical way to heat the tank.

You may be paying quite a bit less for electricity per KW at your stick and brick house. While electricity is more efficient than propane, it depends on what the local pricing for both is.
