  • 2021 GD 2450RL Slide

New purchase end of May, slide sticks out on the rear bottom and you can see the ground when slide is fully retracted. Been waiting for call back from dealer....Thinking mice and bugs could get in pretty easy, not to mention a little road dust. Also, can someone tell me where the slide motor is actually located and exactly how do we move it in if failure occurs. Got some conflicting info from dealer walk through and then the manual. 2021 GD 2450RL. Thanks

The slide in your 2450RL is commonly called a "Schwintek". Easy to tell due to the telltale rails (arrows in pic below).

Lippert ("LCI") makes the components for the slide, which they call an "In-Wall Slide". Go to their website and you'll find manuals and videos that cover/answer your questions: https://support.lci1.com/in-wall-slide-out

Hello DDM JLM. I have the same unit. At some point you may need to use the slide controller... it is a control box that operates the Schwintek slide motors in conjunction with one and another. You will need to refer to it if you have a slide malfunction. It is mentionned in the Schwintek manuals that Howard referred to above. It is located under the pots and pans drawer in the kitchen.. just remove the drawer...it is easily accessible from there. Any other questions on your unit, feel free to ask. It's a good layout... easy to tow... Hope you enjoy it. Moe
