We spend 3 months parked in our trailer and wanted to know if we should get slide support for the slide with the theater chairs and kitchen table and chairs.

I would not recommended because if the main trailer settles or moves and the slide supports do not this will cause binding or shifting of the slide which could damage or bend the slide mechanism.

Carole Paddelford -- moved your thread to the Slide-Outs "channel". The Welcome Letter Jerry mentioned will explain...

Welcome to the forum! (And don't worry -- moving the thread is no biggie.)

The best advice is definitely to not use slide supports. You have not identified which model trailer you have and this could be important in your decision. The risk is that a tire going soft could transfer excessive load to the slide support which could definitely damage the slide. If you have a leveling system that can fully support the weight of the trailer, this risk is reduced.

Having said the above . . . slide supports under the slide with the recliners and table will add a lot of stability. We use these . . .even though I know that there is risk with this choice. The supports only need to be snug to the structure under the slide and are much more effective on concrete than on something soft.
