  • Broken piece under slide

RV Detectives needed: We have a new 310 GK and when we extended the living room slide after a trip we found this 1 inch piece of metal that is 3/16” round that must’ve been somehow under the slide end it left a bit of an indent in our floor and seemed like it might have some dark oil residue. It was not something of ours so we really believe something might have broken underneath the slide? Does anyone recognize what sort of quarter inch round metal bar might be under the slides? On one end you can see it’s almost like a portion of it’s very smooth and then a rough edge so we thought something might’ve been welded and broken off or something? Any guesses are appreciated.

Floor roller? Peak under the lip of the floor (with the slide fully extended) and you should see the floor rollers that support the floor. If one of them is broken it will be obvious.

Below is an example of a roller--not necessarily exactly what you'll see (but it will be close).

If not part of the floor roller my only guess is construction debris...

I still find a screw once in a while. That might be a part of the roller as Howard has noted or it may be construction debris.
