  • Slides and Wind

I was recently dry camping on an exposed hilltop when a cold front came through with winds gusting to 31mph over a 12-hr. period. The wind was hitting the rear roadside of the trailer that the slide is on. The topper seemed to be handling the gust. Would it be best practice to bring the slide in under these conditions?

If you can tolerate the slide being in then yes.
I would pull my slides in as well under those conditions.

I also will bring in my slides if there's the threat of significant weather. "Significant" does not have a definitive definition--if I'm aware something bad's coming the slides come in..
