How often do you repack the RV wheel bearings? I'm getting many different opinions on this question.

What GD do you own (helps to put it in your signature line as requested in the Welcome Letter) and how many miles do you tow each year?
Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, we have nothing to gain should you choose to purchase a product or engage a service we discuss on this forum.

According to Dexter page 84 of this manual the bearings should be inspected and repacked every 12 mo or 12k miles.

These are the people that designed, built and warrantied the product so I use their info as the standard.

This is the official video showing what Dexter considers to be a proper repack.

I do mine every three years. I live on the edge.........cuz that's how i roll.....(think John Pinette)....

I should add...I do a repack as soon as I buy a trailer, new or used. Then AFTER I KNOW the bearings are properly packed and pre-loaded I am confident in the three year span between re-packs.
