  • 2017 367BHS leaf spring failure

I just go a call from a friend with a 2017 367BHS. Less then a year ago he had a leaf spring failure and Grand design replaced the 2 springs on the kitchen slide side. Today one of those springs had a leaf snap while on the road.

Has anyone had similar issues? If so would upgraded springs help since this is on the heavy side of the trailer? Anyone have recommendation to get him back on the road to home. He lives in NJ but is stranded in Pennsylvania .

    Jerryr ,

A local spring shop would be able to provide or replace the broken spring. Cate&Rob Rob has extensive knowledge in upgrading the springs on units with a much heavier kitchen side.

      Hi Jerry,

Direct your friend to this thread https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...imum-clearance and particularly post 5 which is a synopsis of a long investigation to match the springs to the weight being carried. Not to weak and not too strong. It all starts with accurately measuring spring arch height and going from there.
