Does anyone currently have flexible solar panels installed on their roof? I'm about to install a solar system in our 31MB and have been looking for ways to keeps us under GVWR (I'm kind of OCD on this as my wife can attest). I would have never considered flexible solar panels until I watched this video and his subsequent video where he reviews the condition of the panels after one year on his roof. Not only did he install them without drilling he was also able to provide much needed airflow under the panels and a path for moisture to move underneath and around them.
I realize they don't have a proven long term track record, have a much shorter warranty than rigid solar panels and cost more but the weight savings is oh so tempting.
Second question, has anyone that has a greater than 800w system been able to stay under GVWR? If so what's the secret?
