Looking to add a fuel tank for a generator. Gasoline and I need to look at the frame spacing. Looks like you unscrew the trim along the edges and it may simply lay itself down? Anyone do this yet?

Plenty here have done this and that is how it is done. Some have used jack stands with 2x4's spanning between them I have used some spring clips so I could lower it when I had the screws out. I also used the spring clips to reinstall , holds it up but loose enough to move around to line the holes back up.
Please post your mod and pics while you do this project , there may be some interest in this. Also if you contact GD Customer Service and ask for some layout drawings where the tanks and such are between the frame rails this will help you in where you will be able to install your gas tank.

Not sure if all models are done the same way, but as I unscrewed the coroplast, I inverted it and pulled it under to expose the area I needed to access. Re-attached it in reverse where it was no issue at all. Some may have a reflective material above the coroplast where on my Imagine there was none there. I could see the reflective material being a challenge.
