  • Water hose adaptors

I have a 2021 303rls and have not had a trailer for over 10 years. I see they don't have a fresh tank fill to stick a hose in when getting to a camp ground. With this system you have to fill the tank with the Notaulus system. I did cut a 5/8 hose 6' so I can draw water out of a bucket to sanatize my system, I was planning on using the same hose to connect to campground. I bought a 5/8 to 5/8 nipple and a 5/8 to 1/2 nipple also. Question is there any other adaptors I should carry not knowing what size hose ends are at the campground. I was also going to pick up a female hose connector to have if they have a male hose end at the campground.

Dennis66 Most campgrounds have a standard hose bib like around your house. The 303 uses the Nautilus P1 panel that features power fill where you hook up the hose to the city water connection and fill the tank that way. It will fill the tank fast as its a direct line in and not gravity limited.

I was at a National Park dump station and someone cut off the end of the fresh water fill hose. I got a Water Bandit incase I run into to that again.

Also do you run a filter when filling your tank?

Does your 303 come with a factory installed water filtration system? If so then it is your preference. Most of us run some type of filtration from city/park water into the TT and other have advanced filtration systems attached to their rig.

John L I would shy away from using any hose at a dump station and look for a different option. Many people who don't have manners take that hose and shove it in their sewer hose to wash it out after a dump...not what I would want "fresh" water coming from.

I usually avoid filling water at dump stations. At this one the potable water was away from the dump area. I did not have the water bandit then it just prompted me to get one. Have not used it yet.

Dennis66 You can fit a hose with an end or one that is cut off. It is tapered to fit various sizes. I have not actually used it yet. Hope I never have to. Yes I do use a filter when filling my water tank.

Dennis66 That's a great plan of action. These are good https://tinyurl.com/2sfvtny4 and I know Walmart has them as well. They also have a green one https://tinyurl.com/daafaa2b that has a little better protection. You can really go down the rabbit hole on filtration and I am sure there is a dedicated thread already.

                    Good luck!

When using the Camco inline filter please run water thru it before you hook up to the RV , I do this every time. These are a charcoal type filter and there has always been some kind of sediment that comes out at each use , just something that I have learned over the years.
