Any good suggestions on a good bike rack that wont break the bank for our 303rls? Only needs to hold (2) 35 lb bikes.

Not many options that are RV rated. I use one similar to this (older style I think), but I’m considering moving to a kuat sherpa 2.0. I’ve heard good things about it and it’s a lot lighter and will make getting into our rear storage much easier.Originally posted by Dennis66 View Post

The Sherpa isn’tRV rated but I know it’s popular on the airstream boards, and one of the full time families I follow on YouTube uses it.

The overhang from the axle to the hitch is a lot more, so there’s a lot more bouncing. You’ll need it to have the tightening bolt built into the shank so you can take all the slop out of it as well. Ask the RV ones I’ve seen have this.Originally posted by Dennis66 View Post

As an FYI,
We have a fairly expensive Thule bike rack where I inquired years ago with the company to see if it was suitable for the back of an RV. The model I have is not. There are specific models that are approved for the violent action that can sometimes occur at the back of the rig. Also since the thin bumper on my Imagine will not handle a bike rack, I moved on and lay them in the back of the truck with shipping blankets. Its popular these days to spend thousands on a mountain bike (not me..too cheap) where I would be concerned to have something that expensive back there.
The Jack-It bike rack for TTs moves the bikes to the front of the rig where the ride is smooth and they can be monitored full time. For the Reflection, and with a hitch, an approved bike rack may be the best option.

I wish I could move them to the front, Im most likely going to put on in the back seat of the truck and the other in the front of the truck bed. I spent way to much this year to shell out 250 bucks or so on a bike rack. Maybe next year or put it on my xmass list2021 Reflection 303RLS

Watch around flea markets or yard sales , these thing usually go cheap when people want rid of them. We picked up a free Thule model where the bikes hang from the bar. I do not know if it is RV compatible or not but it has done well with 2 bikes on it and secured to the receiver tightly , I have the rear camera and there is little to no movement. I would like to get one that the bikes stand up on.

The other thing I’ve seen that I’ve toyed with is welding a hitch onto the pin box and having it over the bed.
