  • Spare Electrical and plumbing parts

Couple of random parts I would like to buy....does anyone carry spares of these as just a spare part they bring along?

    1. The screws that are on the 12V distribution panel - I stripped one out in my electrical install.
    2. The screws that are for the breakers in the AC distribution panel - had to help father in law with his rig this weekend....and one of the screw heads is stripped out on a breaker. Not ideal.
    3. The breakers in the AC distribution box.
    4. The (forgive poor description) plastic screw plug for the hot water heater.

Where would be the best place to purchase?

The water heater plug is just a 1/2" NPT plug. I installed one of these Amazon.com: Beduan 1/2" Brass Mini Ball Valve NPT Female x Male Shut-Off Valve (Pack of 1): Home Improvement and got a 6" long nipple to drain the water tank at any time with no plastic plug to deal with. You have to remove the hand to install and it is a little tricky to get it in the right position but it works great. The pressure relief valve is brass so I am not worried about dissimilar metals.

FWIW, my water heater has a cap on it instead of a plug in it. Make sure what you have.

Anyone have any thoughts on these parts:

if you get one of these shut off valves for your water heater (I have not tried that) get an extra for your shower. Even though I have the shut off handheld oxigenics, a drip of cold always comes out when you use it. By adding this valve between hose and shower head, no more cold drips! A wonderful thing

I have noticed that too....the oxygenics seems to do more than drip when in the off setting.

Be award that the shower head 'drips' for a reason. It is so you don't get a blast of all cold or all hot water when you turn the head back on. Depending on which line has the higher pressure (usually cold) when you completely turn off the shower head one of the waters forces it's way into the other side of the valve an line. Then when you turn the shower head back on you will get a blast of all cold or all hot. Usually all cold because the cold water side usually has a higher pressure than hot.
